Our Roots

Located in Salem, Missouri, the Bonebrake Center was founded to preserve the 1880 two story building, as well as the fourteen acres of natural life that encompasses it. Descendants of Albert Bonebrake began the foundation to conserve this historical home as well as its surroundings. With over six hundred trees, numerous native plants and a pond that is the beginning of the town of Salem, The Bonebrake Center aims to teach, explore and preserve history for generations to come.
